Religious Education Kindergarten - 5th Grade
Classes are held on Sunday mornings (Sept-April)
 in the Religious Education Building
 from 9:30 AM - 10:45 AM.

2024-2025 Fees 

• $25/student (family cap of $75)
• Sacrament: $15 additional (example: 1 student plus Confirmation = $40)
• IF you have multiple children across elementary, middle and high school please select "one time gift" and enter the total payment. We will reconcile the payments per program on our end.

Our mission is to help you as parents/guardians to nurture and foster growth in the Catholic faith of your children.  This is accomplished with help from Catechists/volunteers of our Parish who give of their time and talents.

Arrival & Dismissal:

• Doors open 9:25am. Please be on time so classes may begin at 9:30am.
• Upon arrival please accompany your child to the main doors of the RE Building.
• Kindergarten - 3rd grade should be walked to their room by a parent. 
• Classes will be dismissed at 10:45am.
• Upon dismissal, Kindergarten through 3rd grade must be picked up at their room by a parent or older sibling.
• 4th grade and older are dismissed from their rooms to the outside sidewalk. They must wait on the sidewalk until a parent arrives. A responsible adult will accompany them-usually the Children's Director.

Curriculum:

• Children in Kindergarten through 4th grades will use Gospel Weeklies, which is a faith formation program centered on the Sunday liturgy that is engaging, easy to teach, and involves the family.
• You may access the publisher website at Gospel Weeklies by Pflaum to enhance your child's learning experience with creative resources, downloadable activities and assessment tools. 

Attendance:
Regular attendance is expected of all students. Please contact the Children's Director if your child is absent so that we can check after your child’s well being and, if appropriate, send make up lessons home.

Conduct & Self-Control:
Proper conduct toward adults, each other and HNJ property in the form of respect and courtesy is expected of all children and youth before, during, and after class. If your student is experiencing difficulties please contact the Children's Director.
